Regina is the best. Simple as that. Doug Morris is one bad single choice away from replacing Clives on my shit list.

Had It All wasn't the travesty that was Over It (though I do applaud the greater commercial success of Over It, it's success had nothing to do with Kat or her voice, and that was why it didn't sell albums), so I'm easy on Doug for now...but you know where I stand on the second single and the fate of Unbroken hanging in the balance of a certain song being released.

I actually think HIA was a good single choice. It certainly feels like the safest. I just don't want them to mess up the second single because they won't likely get another shot to get it right.

Girl, Unbroken's fate is already sealed.
Honestly, I don't think releasing Terrified will do much to help the album at this point.

Some believe "Verve is not about making sales or a profit in the short run. They focus on developing their artists and letting their albums grow on their own. Sales might not come immediately, but the fanbase will grow stronger and larger over time which will ultimately lead to greater sales and profits later on."

OI had nothing to do with the song at all and everything to do with RCA putting some effort into getting it played in at least some major markets and I'm guessing they thought the others would follow and that didn't really happen.
I'm not sure how the album really does anything without a radio presence and it doesn't seem like Verve is too interested in making that happen soooooooo....I'm not sure what there is to do other than just enjoy the album.

Maybe because it sounds nothing like her....and I mean absolutely nothing like her. It's not a bad song, it's just not a Kat song. It was never going to do that much for the album because nothing else on the album sounded like it.

Yes, in her words it's the only true pop song on her debut, but I disagree. It's produced to an almost unreasonable extent, but it sounds like her. And she's not using auto-tune either. I'm sorry I feel that it's a Kat song. Whenever I mention Kat, the person will be like, "Oh, she was the Idol who sang SOTR and had that song Over It."

There's a reason why Kat cannot sing Over It live anywhere near the studio track version.

Sweetheart, we have lost a hell of a lot more loyal Kat fans compared to her. Why don't people bring them up? REMEMBER OUR DEAR FRIEND CHOPPER?

Which is also the reason her live performances of OI got so much better when she stopped trying to sing it like the recorded version.

Also, let's try to be polite to the Universal people still reading this forum. Sometimes we are downright rude and unkind and we tend to run off people. Frankly, this site is not friendly to new members and we should try to be more welcoming and more inclusive. Sadly, we ran off Lisa and not many people come here anymore, so let's try to be nice to EVERYONE!!!
