Would this hurt her among the more conservative David Foster listening types in her fanbase? I'm not sure that a classy photoshoot would hurt her buzz or financially wise...she could make more in one photoshoot than on an entire year slaving away on Smash and doing promotional appearances

There's this TV show on NBC called Smash and Kat is one of the stars. You should watch it sometime.

If Kat ever posed nude in Playboy or in any kind of publication or site, I would definitely think about her differently, so you are right on this one. I would immediately lose my respect for Kat and I would cease being a fan of hers.

When I met Kat back in November 2010, I wanted to meet the extremely beautiful and talented singer that I became a fan of. Not only did she turn out to be both in person, I found her to be a very nice young lady and of genuine character. She was and still is extremely sexy in her own way while wearing clothing. After my experience meeting her, it would totally ruin my being a fan of hers if she ever posed nude.

To be fair, I'll be honest with you here. As a 100% straight male myself, I would love to see Kat fully naked from head to toe, but that's from a typical "male sexual fantasy" perspective. (Sorry, Kat, if you're reading this. I'm just trying to make a point here.) In reality, and I genuinely mean this, I wholeheartedly feel that only her husband, Nick, has the right and privilege to see Kat naked, not us.

No way would she ever do Playboy. If a big role in a respectable film called for toplessness I think she would though. I could imagine the possibility of her doing it in a scene similar to what Kate Winslet did in Titanic but that's the only way.

It would be very unlikely if she ever did it, especially given her body image issues. We know Kat well enough to know she's uncomfortable just posing with fewer clothes on. It would surprise the heck out of me if she did. As OJ said, it's possible she could do nudity for a movie role, but who knows what importance it would have to be for her to do it.

I have a feeling it wasn't so much the nudity as it was the fact that pay-cable programming is just soft porn nowadays.
