Single releasing in January and album dropping in March would probably be ideal, but idk. It all depends on how they want to promote it. Do they want the album release to coincide with the premiere of Smash? Or will they drop it just sometime during the show's run? Actually, I think Kat may need a few more months to work on it once filming for Smash wraps up.

btw people, don't misunderstand, I'm not pushing Smash to the side, it's just that this is a prediction thread and it would be a lot easier to predict the album release date if we knew when shooting ends.

Single: October. Maybe not the single, but I have a feeling we'll hear something from the album in October~
Album: April/May, but I voted for April. Gonna go change my vote to May.

I think with pop and Hot AC it's only a couple of months at best. Noth thought 1 month. So I think releasing a single in the Fall followed by the album in April/May might be too long of a gap. They should release Kat's single when Smash is being aired and capitalize on that, and release her album at the end when Smash is over and do some marketing thing with the vol 2 like someone said!

If you are asking because it's what El said in the first post, that's just what El said; she's just making fun of what was said about Unbroken. Though Kat did say in a recent interview: "My dream would have a song out in the fall and then the record in 2013.", there's been no official statement.where did they say 2013 release
