If it drops below 6mil, I cringe for next season and it possibly getting the Cougar Town treatment.

The Julia and Michael in the rain/Tom and Julia picking their title scenes ended the episode."Ivy and Karen" was a trending topic, and it happened during Cheers which was the ending. That's a good sign.

Ryan Tedder trended last week.Well we did get 4 trending topics, right? We didn't get a single one last week so who knows?

The FB people didn't make a discussion post like they usually do.
Yea, I noticed that as well.
However I noticed they made a "Raise your hand if you are excited for Smash" a few hours before the show aired and it has over +4000 likes. That's more than what the discussion topics usually get.
It doesn't mean a thing, tho.
Ugh. I just didn't want this to be below 6mil.

And it's 19% lower than what Harry's Law got last year? This is so confusing. lol
Metered Market Monday Ratings
ABC Leads; Basketball Championship Ignites CBS
Monday 4/02/12
Metered Market Results
Household
Rating/Share
ABC 11.1/17
CBS 8.9/14
NBC 6.1/ 9
Fox 5.0/ 8
CW 0.7/ 1
----------
-Percent Change from Year-Ago Evening – Monday 4/04/11
NBC and Fox: +79 each, CW: +40, CBS: - 9, ABC: -15
----------
-Winners:
Dancing With the Stars (ABC), The Voice (NBC), NCAA Basketball Championship (CBS)
-Losers (excluding repeats):
Gossip Girl (CW), Hart of Dixie (CW)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown:
ABC opened the week on a winning overnight note thanks to Dancing With the Stars, with a 25 percent advantage over basketball-populated CBS. Next was the home of The Voice, NBC, which will easily beat ABC among adults 18-49; followed by Fox and lowly The CW.
Dancing With the Stars on ABC was the top-rated show of the evening, with 12.4 rating/19 share from 8-10 p.m. Compared to the year-ago evening (15.3/23 on 4/05/11), however, this was down by 19 percent. Here is the half-hour breakdown:
Dancing With the Stars (ABC)
8:00 p.m.: 11.4/18 (#1)
8:30 p.m.: 12.3/19 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 13.0/19 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 12.9/19 (#1)
Lots of tears were shed last night as each contestant remembered the most memorable year of their lives. My pick to exit this evening: Gavin DeGraw.
Dancing With the Stars led into Castle, which dipped to second behind basketball on CBS with an 8.4/13 in the overnights at 10 p.m.
Keeping in mind that results for any live sporting event are always approximate, The NCAA Basketball Championship on CBS (Kansas vs. Kentucky) averaged an estimated 11.7/18 for the primetime portion from 9:15-11 p.m. Combined with a 12.5/22 in the 11 p.m. half-hour, basketball scored an approximate 11.9/19 from 9:15-11:30 p.m. Once year earlier, the basketball match-up (U Conn vs. Butler) was almost identical at a 12.0/19 on 4/04/11 (and that translated into 20.06 million viewers and a 7.1/18 among adults 18-49, based on the Live Plus Same Day results).
Earlier in the evening on CBS were encore telecasts of 2 Broke Girls (#4: 4.2/ 7) and Two and a Half Men (#4: 4.3/ 7) from 8-9 p.m.
With basketball in the competitive mix, The Voice on NBC was below average at a 6.8/11 from 8-10 p.m. (versus a 7.7/12 one week earlier). But this was still almost triple the average of a repeat of Chuck (1.7/ 3) and an original installment of failed drama The Event (2.9/ 4) on the year-ago evening. Already renewed Smash capped off the evening for NBC with a third-place 4.6/ 7 at 10 p.m. (which was 19 percent below older skewing year-ago occupant Harry’s Law).
Over at Fox, just renewed Bones moved into the Monday 8 p.m. hour with a third-place 5.6/ 9. And that led into relocated and soon-to-conclude House at a fourth-place 4.5/ 7 at 9 p.m. The time was right, no doubt, for House to end.
Last, and very least was CW duo Gossip Girl (0.9/ 2) and Hart of Dixie (0.6/ 1), which should both be exiting this spring.

VSW, it appears it got a 4.6/7 not a 4.7/7, which if last week was 4.7, that seems like a small drop. Harry's Law last year at this time got 7.74 million viewers.
Ugh. I can't believe HL was doing that good last year? What happened? And why is Smash doing worse now? lol
These ratings are so confusing. Smash got a 4.7/8 last week and now a 4.6/7 this week. Well, it dropped.

steady though! i didnt expect an increase, people dont know it was a good episode unless they tuned in, and after last week some people prob didnt.
Yea, makes sense. While I did enjoy last week's episode at first, I actually think it might be one of the worst episodes so far (apart from Kat's glorious moments). It was just so random and nonsense. It's like everything yet nothing happened at all.
I hope people will tune in next week after last night. I don't want the show to lose its 6 million audience.
