I don't know about the rest of you on the East Coast, but where I work, it was raining like a monsoon this afternoon. There's been some flooding on some roads and in Ellicott City, which is maybe a few miles from where I live. This stuff is supposed to continue until Friday. And this is supposed to be just a tropical depression. Yeesh.

It's hot in SoCal. Nothing new. 
At least it tends to cool off at nights for most nights, which is nice. That doesn't happen in Louisiana. Apparently it rained and stormed a couple nights ago, but I must have slept through it all.

It's been in the low to mid 90's with low humidity and it feels WONDERFUL!!!! I've been used to the 100+ degree weather.
Bad news, lots of fires around Texas and a small one even broke out 3 miles from my house. Scary.

I don't have air-conditioning.

So who's getting this rare October snow? It's apparently hammering the Northeast, but it looks like my area is just getting rain, though it could change over to snow at some point. The weather.com website indicates that the D.C. area will only get a trace of snow, so we should be fine. But NYC and Boston are expected to get 3-5" and Philly will get 1-3".

yea, it was snowing pretty hard this morning; its slowing down now but its still quite a bit falling down. i think some classes wouldve been cancelled if it was a school day because they shut down the westchester campus.

we're supposed to get almost around a foot of snow! lol...saw a tree in the road and when we were out to eat at a hibachi restaurant, the power went out! lol...and it's only october!

Yea, it IS kinda crazy for New England to be dealing with this much snow before Halloween. Please stay safe, Michelle (and Diane and Kevin). Fortunately, all I have had is a cold steady rain for the past two days. Freeze warning in effect for tomorrow morning. Brrrrrr.
I know this is no fun for any of you up North. I have a bad feeling we are ALL gonna be dealing with a nasty winter this year.

well...we lost power at around 8:00 last night at school! lots of trees down! classes have been cancelled for monday and tuesday, so i'm back at home where there is power! lol

We had the strangest storm tonight! First, it was just raining and storming, but THEN it started hailing for like an hour, and I had to make my all the way from the dining hall on another campus to my dorm, and I stepped in a lot of stealthy hail/water puddles.how is this weather related?? lol
I was wearing crocs with socks. 
So my feet were numb for like 5 minutes.
