For miscellaneous celebrity news you don't want to make a separate topic for.

Didn't know they were gay? Well now you do. A couple of recent celebrity (self) outings:

David Ogden Stiers (Major Winchester from "Mash)

Kelly McGillis ("Top Gun"). Apparently her being gay has been whispered about for a long time, but I must have missed the memos.

How were there no academy awards handed out. It obviously took amazing skills to act like they were into it.

I once saw an interactive showing of Top Gun with live actors who based their commentary on Tarantino's theory about the homoerotic undertones of the movie. It was classic.

I always thought that DOS was the best thing on the later series of MASH. This is great to know that he is the total opposite of the character he played and a tribute to his skills as an actor.

I have absolutely no interest what anyone else does in bed or who they do it with (as long as it is consensual) but say you are a "liberal atheist" and you are my friend for life. (As long as you remain a liberal atheist.)

From the article:

Few would believe that the stodgy appearing actor David Ogden Stiers (DOS to many friends) is a flower child at heart. From his work and general appearance most would describe him as uptight, humorless, conservative, religious, cold, and judgmental.

Now replace those adjectives with their opposite and you have the real DOS – fun loving, witty, liberal, atheistic, warm and accepting.

Katharine has a lot of fans in that category though she is only 1 of the 2 apparently but at least she follows the tenets of her faith and the teachings of its founder. (Pretending that Jesus actually existed, just for the sake of argument). Unlike so many of that affiliation who practice the exact opposite of what he taught.

I could never understand how anyopne from the generation who grew up watching All In The Family and MASH and a whole lot of other liberal/progressive shows could ever become a Republican. They identified with Archie Bunker and Major Burns? And these shows aren't biased brainwashing, they really did present the liberal viewpoint and expose the hypocrisy and emptiness of the other side and the very real harm that is the enevitable result of its precepts.

Um, maybe another one for Zeta house.

My condolences to the family of Danny Gans, who passed away at age 52. Perhaps he was not well known to people who have never visited Las Vegas, but he was a legend there. He could impersonate hundreds of people, and could impersonate singing voices. One of his best acts was singing "Unforgettable" using Nat King and Natalie's voices.

The latest Lindsay Lohan gossip is that she's rumored to be seven weeks pregnant

From AOL's gossip site:
QUOTE
Lindsay Lohan is allegedly seven weeks pregnant. A source for IUC claims Lindsay is suffering a "big emotional turmoil" and she's still not sure whether she'll actually keep the baby. And to make matters worse, Lindsay apparently doesn't even know who the father is. "She must have slept with more than two dozen men in the past couple of months," the source said. Word of advice to Lindsay: If you are pregnant, don't take any parenting tips from Dina.

Was the conception before or after her breakup with Samantha?

From EW, Chastity Bono to change gender
QUOTE
According to TMZ.com, Chastity Bono, daughter of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, is in the early stages of transitioning from female to male.

Publicist Howard Bragman made a statement for the activist, journalist and author, using masculine pronouns: "Yes, it's true -- Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity."

"He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his 'coming out' did nearly 20 years ago.

We ask that the media respect Chaz's privacy during this long process as he will not be doing any interviews at this time."

Wow. I guess I never saw that one coming. That would also mean that he would no longer be a lesbian female but a straight male. Weird how these things can go.

Also from EW, a forensics expert hired by David Carradine's family has ruled that the actor's death was not a suicide. More information needs to be gathered.
