Didn't know they were gay? Well now you do. A couple of recent celebrity (self) outings:
David Ogden Stiers (Major Winchester from "Mash)
Kelly McGillis ("Top Gun"). Apparently her being gay has been whispered about for a long time, but I must have missed the memos.

That announcement took my breath away.
"I love the idea of going in there and changing someone's mind about who they think you are."

How were there no academy awards handed out. It obviously took amazing skills to act like they were into it.

I once saw an interactive showing of Top Gun with live actors who based their commentary on Tarantino's theory about the homoerotic undertones of the movie. It was classic.

So what you're saying is Iceman and Slider were doing it.

I have absolutely no interest what anyone else does in bed or who they do it with (as long as it is consensual) but say you are a "liberal atheist" and you are my friend for life. (As long as you remain a liberal atheist.)
From the article:
Few would believe that the stodgy appearing actor David Ogden Stiers (DOS to many friends) is a flower child at heart. From his work and general appearance most would describe him as uptight, humorless, conservative, religious, cold, and judgmental.
Now replace those adjectives with their opposite and you have the real DOS – fun loving, witty, liberal, atheistic, warm and accepting.

Katharine has a lot of fans in that category though she is only 1 of the 2 apparently but at least she follows the tenets of her faith and the teachings of its founder. (Pretending that Jesus actually existed, just for the sake of argument). Unlike so many of that affiliation who practice the exact opposite of what he taught.
I could never understand how anyopne from the generation who grew up watching All In The Family and MASH and a whole lot of other liberal/progressive shows could ever become a Republican. They identified with Archie Bunker and Major Burns? And these shows aren't biased brainwashing, they really did present the liberal viewpoint and expose the hypocrisy and emptiness of the other side and the very real harm that is the enevitable result of its precepts.
Um, maybe another one for Zeta house.

Publicist Howard Bragman made a statement for the activist, journalist and author, using masculine pronouns: "Yes, it's true -- Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity."
"He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his 'coming out' did nearly 20 years ago.
We ask that the media respect Chaz's privacy during this long process as he will not be doing any interviews at this time."
Wow. I guess I never saw that one coming. That would also mean that he would no longer be a lesbian female but a straight male. Weird how these things can go.
Also from EW, a forensics expert hired by David Carradine's family has ruled that the actor's death was not a suicide. More information needs to be gathered.

I'd hoped you'd see my face & that you'd be reminded,
That for me, it isn't over.
