Missteps: Blond hair; older boyfriend

Advice: Blondes have more fun -- unless you look like a brunette in a Marilyn wig. Then it's just awkward. You're gorgeous with brown hair, no need for continuous makeovers to keep us interested. But Kat, what's with the boyfriend 19 years your senior? Sure, he's a Broadway performer, but he's creepy and you can get a young, hot piece. Own your youth, dye your hair, and find yourself some GQ-model arm candy.

Most of the stuff they said about the Idols was rude and unnecessary. I saw this last week and put it from my mind.

First Nick is her husband, not "her old boyfriend".

The blond hair is fine, it actually works for her IF people hadn't seen her with her brown hair and in some cases, like that guy on the Today Show, they'll like blond better. The real problem here is that people "fell in love" with a headful of curly extensions that really have nothing to do with Kat's shorter pin-straight natural hair.

I saw this last week and put it from my mind.

I should be so lucky this will haunt me for weeks.

Unsolicited advice tends to be that way. Most of the more casual fans probably don't know who she's married to anyway anymore than they know the dogs' names.
