Noth and I figured it was probably time for a new KMA thread considering how huge the other is from last time. lol Obviously there isn't any new music yet but chances are stuff will start leaking soon-ish? Anyway...


Yes, it is time. Time for those of us who feel we are getting too much information and fear ruining that brand new feeling to listen to music for the very first time. Time for those of us who love getting that freshly wrapped CD in our hands, leaving the store, and knowing that when they get home and put that CD in their player it will be the first time we will have heard those songs. So here is where we begin our support of each other in NOT listening to Kat's leaks any longer. If you feel a craving coming on, step right on in and we will help stop you from listening.

PS- We don't need to have a list of members because, frankly, I'm to lazy to update. lmao You know who you are and I know who you are. And we all know we love our McPhee

I'm still unsure about this. The first time you hear the songs is the first time you hear them no matter if it's leaked or not. I wanted to hold out myself the first time around and then the whole thing leaked and I thought, "If I really want to abstain I'm going to have to stay away from the boards for a week because I don't want to read what other people are saying about the songs before I hear them and...it's not like I'm not going to buy the album because of this...I wouldn't do that to Katharine!" So I wound up listening that night. I admire anyone that can successfully accomplish this.

The quality of a leaked track is deficient to the quality of a cd or Itunes track. The whole point of this is that you will have a special feeling when you get the cd in your hands for the first time, knowing when you unwrap it that you will be listening for the first time.

The quality of a leaked track is deficient to the quality of a cd or Itunes track. The whole point of this is that you will have a special feeling when you get the cd in your hands for the first time, knowing when you unwrap it that you will be listening for the first time.

I don't recall thinking the leaked version of Kat's album the first time around was all that deficient in sound quality (the Promosquad stuff was deficient, not the album leak, at least not to me). I get the point of this but I'm not sure how you accomplish it without disappearing about 10 days out from the album release. I don't think the superior quality argument is enough for me to abstain. And like I said I don't want to hear what anyone else is saying about these songs before I hear them so I'd pretty much have to stay away from here for all the time and I don't think the special feeling is worth that. But if it works for you that's great!
