Kat to perform on ‘American Idol’ with OneRepublic
If you are follow us on Twitter, you already know that there had been some buzz over the weekend about Katharine potentially performing on ‘American Idol’ this coming Thursday. Now, it is confirmed thanks to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kat will perform with OneRepublic on their latest single, “If I Lose Myself”. Tune in to the ‘American Idol’ results show on Thursday night at 8PM on FOX to catch the performance! We can’t wait!
This will be Kat’s second guest appearance on ‘American Idol‘ since finishing second on the show back in 2006. In 2008, she performed “Something” by the Beatles accompanied by David Foster. Katharine has previously worked with OneRepublic’s frontman, Ryan Tedder, on the song “Touch Me” from ‘Smash’!

Smash moving to Saturday nights starting April 6
This just in! ‘Smash’ will be moving to Saturday nights at 9PM on NBC beginning on April 6th. After rough ratings for the second season, this shift seems inevitable, but the bright side is that remainder of the show’s 17-episode season will air in full.
Don’t be confused, though: The next three episodes will continue to air in its current time slot, which is Tuesdays at 10 PM. Stay posted!

Clips from the next episode of ‘Smash’ (which is entitled “The Fringe”) have been released! Most notably is a clip of Karen (Kat) and Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) performing a brand new ‘Hit List’ number called “Heart-Shaped Wreckage”. It sounds and looks incredible! Check it out below.

Next week on ‘Smash’, Karen (Kat) and Derek (Jack Davenport) hit a crossroads when opportunities arise for both “Bombshell” and “Hit List”. Which musical will they choose? We’re going to have to wait and see, but check out a preview in the meantime! The episode airs next Tuesday on NBC.
New episode of ‘Smash’ tonight on NBC!
Don’t miss an all-new episode of ‘Smash’ tonight at 10 PM (9 central) on NBC! There is a lot of drama and great music in the episode, which is entitled “The Read-Through”. The show opens with a phenomenal ‘Bombshell’ number featuring Karen (Kat) and Tom (Christian Borle) performing the song “Public Relations”. Another noteworthy number is Karen’s cover of Death Cab for Cutie‘s “Some Boys”.
During tonight’s episode, Karen stages the first read-through for Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) and Kyles’ (Andy Mientus) new musical, ‘Hit List’. At the same time, Karen is beginning to realize she has feelings for Jimmy after their unexpected kiss in last week’s episode, but can she trust his erratic behavior? And how will ‘Bombshell’ fare now that it is in Jerry’s hands? Tune in tonight to see the struggle!
