This is just getting confusing now, NBC! ‘Smash’ will make a move once again, this time to 8PM EST (7PM central) on Saturday nights. Be sure to tune in then as opposed to the 9PM slot that the show debuted in last week. Stay posted for more information!
New episode of ‘Smash’ airs TONIGHT!
‘Smash’ moves to its new night and time beginning TONIGHT at 9PM (8 central) on NBC. Don’t miss it! In tonight’s show, Derek (Jack Davenport) finally comes clean about his feeling for Karen (Katharine), but will this confession following her new relationship with Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) create even more tension at ‘Hit List’ rehearsals? It’s a classic love triange, so you can count on drama!
Music featured in the episode includes a brand new tune, entitled “Original” (written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul), that will be performed by Kat’s character. You can purchase the song on iTunes now and take a listen below!
Throwback Thursday: Katharine in the 2008 film ‘Crazy’
You see it all over the internet — Throwback Thursday! And now, we have decided to bring it over to this site as well to celebrate moments from Katharine’s career thus far. Sounds fun, right?
Our first Throwback Thursday is a look back at Kat’s first-ever appearance in a movie. Before achieving worldwide fame on ‘American Idol’, Kat had a small role as a Paramount Girl in the indie film ‘Crazy’, which was based on the life of Hank Garland. She filmed this role in early 2005 and the movie was released in 2008. Check out a video of Kat’s appearance in the film below!
‘Smash’ moves to Saturday @ 9PM starting this week!
Remember that ‘Smash’ moves to its new night and time this Saturday at 9PM EST (8 central) on NBC! In Saturday’s new episode, which is entitled “The Surprise Party”, relations between Karen (Katharine), Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan), and Derek (Jack Davenport) explode just as “Hit List’s” rehearsal process nears its close. Broadway legend Liza Minnelli also guest stars. Don’t miss it! Check out an exciting preview below.
Kat interviewed with Jeremy Jordan on ‘Smash’ set
Check out this interview of Katharine with her ‘Smash’ co-star Jeremy Jordan that was filmed on the set of the next episode of the show! The two goof off with one another, which makes for a really fun segment. Check it out! During the interview, you can also hear a snippet of Katharine singing the song “Broadway, Here I Come!”, which her character will perform on Tuesday’s episode.

Don’t forget to tune in to the ‘American Idol’ results show at 8PM on FOX to catch a special performance by Katharine with OneRepublic on their hit song “If I Lose Myself”. It’s going to be great and you don’t want to miss it! Kat is also collaborating with Ryan Tedder (the band’s lead singer) on her forthcoming album, which is expected to hit stores this summer.
