quote:

SHARK NIGHT 3D is centered on seven young adults who spend a weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf area. Their weekend trip takes a turn for the terrible when sharks start attacking -- which is even more troubling since these are freshwater lakes. Our heroes soon discover that it's part of some sick plan inspired by greed on the part of the locals

More Christmas Album Details

PopEater posted a new article about Katharine's upcoming Christmas album entitled 'Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You'. The editorial reveals that the album is currently scheduled for release in October. Kat also talks about writing an original holiday song for the record.
quote:

"At the moment we're doing some tweaking on the lyrics, so it could change, but right now it's 'It's Not Christmas Without You,'" she says, noting she's excited to work on her songwriting chops. "I didn't set out to write something that could be on Top 40 radio. I wanted something that felt maybe just as classic as 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.' I'm not much of an up-tempo songwriter. I have a hard time writing songs that are up-tempo, so this one is a ballad, really beautiful melodically."

'Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding'

A couple of days ago, Katharine Tweeted that she spent a portion of last week filming a cameo for a movie in upstate New York. She said, "I'm working on a movie called Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding starring Jane Fonda, Catherine Keener, and many more! and they were all lovely!"

Directed by Bruce Beresford, Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding is a movie about a conservative lawyer that takes her two teenage children to meet their estranged, hippie grandmother in Woodstock. Katharine plays a hippie singer-songwriter at a music festival. The movie is expected to be released in 2011.

Press Release: Kat Recording Holiday Album

quote:

Kat Recording Holiday Album :: "Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You"

Katharine McPhee laughs and exclaims “This feels so wrong,” as she begins recording a Christmas album on a scorching hot July day in Los Angeles. Yet nothing could be more right than for the sensational singer to record some of her favorite Christmas songs for her third album, titled Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You, to be released by Verve Forecast in the fall.

“Christmas really is my favorite time of year,” says McPhee. “It takes a little imagination to be recording right now but I don’t need a ton of Christmas lights in the studio to inspire me. I know these songs so well. These are the songs I listened to growing up. Hopefully my versions will be unique but at the same time timeless; full and rich yet simple and intimate.”
